La Canasta de Vida Restaurant
Is a very unique restaurant. It is located in the center of the town of Santa Barbara, Honduras, and is considered by many to be one of the finest restaurants in the entire Country. It is, of course, the only vegetarian restaurant in Honduras. Our customers are served delicious and healthy breakfast and lunch every day, Sunday thru Friday.
In addition to the restaurant, we have a Bakery; where we make a variety of whole wheat breads and deserts. Periodically, we also have cooking and health classes for the public right there at the restaurant.
La Canasta de Vida is a blessing, not only to the town’s people, but also to our church members from the mountain village, who work full time at the restaurant. They have now learned how to be productive and self sufficient. Like they say, “why keep giving away fish to the poor, when you can teach them how to fish for themselves.”
