Greetings M.M.M. Friends,
This is indeed a special newsletter issue. One that we be-lieve has the message of what Maranatha Medical Ministries is all about. Although there are only a couple of articles featured in this issue, may God’s love, mercy and compas-sion for others ring out on every page. Know within your own heart, that God wants to use you to be His helping hands in bringing relief and comfort to someone in need.
“In every city, every town, every village, through which He passed, He laid His hands upon the afflicted ones and healed them. Wherever there were hearts ready to receive His message, He comforted them with the assurance of their heavenly Father’s love. All day He ministered to those who came to Him;”
Do you feel that your usefulness for Christ is limited, due to your lack of education or skills? Look at our young Missionary Trainees; Just a few months ago, they were, what some would call, “ignorant mountain kids”. Now, today, after learning in the school of Christ, they are able to go out and minister to the rich as well as to the poor.

Dear friends,
Thank you for your patience in awaiting our newsletters, how we wish we could write more of-ten. But as you know the mission field is a busy place. We also realize that time is short and by God’s grace we want to accomplish as much as we can for the Master while there is time.
We truly thank God for each one of you and for all the support and encouragement that you give us.
I know some of you wonder how we could possibly come up with another project, when we have so much on our plate already, but we want to let you know that when God shows us a need, we move forward in faith. He then gives us the vision, He gives us the strength, He gives us the energy, and we place all of our reliance on Him.
We wish we could write every detail of our days, but we hope that what we share will bring joy to your hearts, that it will inspire you to step out in faith, to realize that with God all things are possible, that there is a world in need and that we are His witnesses.
So sit back, pour yourself a tall glass of water, bring the family around and enjoy what God has done.

Dear Maranatha Family,
As we enter this new year, I pray that it bring to each of us a closer connection with God and a deeper desire and determination to do His will. I believe that in this year of 2009, very serious events will take place that will try all of God's people. Now is the time dear friends, to give God our all and all. We cannot go about our daily routines as we have in the past. We must awaken to the serious events which are soon,....very soon, to take place. We must now, give God all of our time, all of our energies,...all of our means.
We at Maranatha Medical Ministries have prayed much about starting a new phase of the ministry. There is so much God has already given us to do; But when God says "MOVE", we must, without hesitation or delay, move forward with prayer and determination to do His will.
God has instructed us to establish a "Missionary Training Center" here in Honduras. It will be primarily for consecrated and dedicated young people whose only desire is to be of service to God and the finishing of His work.
Many of you have been with us from the very beginning of our ministry, and we are so very thankful for your faithfulness and support of this ministry. Now, as never before, we need your prayers; And yes,...we need your support. As you will read in the attachment, we plan to build very modest classrooms, dormitories, and buildings for student industry. This promises to be a great venture for M. M. M.. We are determined to follow God's outline for educating missionaries for service.
We are aggressively moving forward with this project, and we thank you in advance for your prayers and support.
